Using this you can access any website using the default Airtel Live! Connection which can be activated for Free.

Requirements :

A mobile phone with airtel connection and some device to connect it to a PC/laptop (bluetooth dongle or datacable or via infrared).


Do the following steps to get airtel gprs free:


  • First Activate Airtel Live!( It is FREE). See here for manual configuration settings.



  • Now create two airtel GPRS accounts in your profile using the settings given here. Activate one of them as your default profile.



  • Connect your phone with your connectivity cable using blutooth dongle or usb/serial cable.



  • Go to control panel and create a new dial up connection with the following settings:

    Connection Device : Your mobile’s modem
    ISP Name : Anything you want to enter.

    Phone Number : Your mobile number.

    Username: leave blank

    Password: leave blank



  • Now setup your browser at your pc to use the proxy 100.1.200.99 and port 8080. In internet explorer, Go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Choose your connection and click settings and their check use proxy.



  • Connect to the dial-up account.



  • Try on your mobile to access any site. You will get “Access Denied…”. Keep Mobile away.



  • On the PC ( or Laptop) open your browser, enter any address ,press ENTER and WAIT. Now your webpage opens up.



Done! Enjoy Gprs free from your pc/laptop using Airtel GPRS Connection.

Using these settings you can setup Vodafone Live! GPRS in your Sony Ericcson phone manually.

To set up GPRS

a) Go to Menu > Connectivity > Data Communication > Data Accounts

b) Now choose New Account and select Account Type as GPRS data

c) Enter New Account as Vodafone live

d) Then fill up the fields below:

APN: portalnmms
Username: ___leave blank___
Password:___leave blank___

e) Click on Save
Once you´re done, go back to Connectivity and:

a) Select Internet Settings and go to Internet Profiles

c) Connect using Vodafone live
d) Save the settings and return to Internet Profiles
e) Now under Vodafone live, select more and go to Settings

IP address: 10.10.1.100
Port No.: 9401

g) Once you have entered all the details, click on Save

h) Now go to advance settings from the more options again

i) Select Change Homepage option and enter the following details:

Name: Vodafone live
Address: http://live.vodafone.in

j) Now click on Save.

k) Go back to Internet Profiles and select Vodafone live



To set up MMS
To manually set up MMS on your phone, follow these simple steps:
a) Go to Menu > Connectivity > Data Communication > Data Accounts

b) Now choose New Account and select Account Type as GPRS data

c) Enter New Account as Vodafone live

d) Then fill up the fields below:

APN: portalnmms
Username: __leave blank___
Password :__leave blank___

e) Now go to Messaging and select Settings

f) Go to Picture messages and select Internet profiles

g) Select New profile and enter the following details:

Name: Vodafone MMS
Connect Using: Vodafone MMS
IP address: 10.10.1.100
Username: __leave blank__
Password: __leave blank__

h) Now click on Save.

i) Now return back to Picture Messages menu

j) Enter the Message Server Address: http://mms1.live.vodafone.in/mms/
